Indiana
CNC OPERATOR
SCOPE:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor – this position is responsible for conducting effective and efficient CNC machine operations to produce quality production at specified required rates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Decides, develops, and plans sequence of operations to produce parts in accordance with part drawings.
• Plans and performs adjustments for turning/milling CNC operations in accordance with drawing requirements to maintain quality production of parts.
• Completes work in accordance with the Stalcop Metal Forming LLC, New Product Development process for process/machining development and process documentation.
• Responsible for operating equipment to produce quality parts according to print/PCP specifications.
EDUCATION
• Minimum of 3 years experience in machining, work holding, jigs and fixturing of complex machine components using 4 or 5 axis CNC equipment.
• Formal CNC machining certification education preferred.
KNOWLEDGE
• Proven basic understanding/knowledge of Fanuc controls and G code CNC programming for 4 or 5 axis CNC turning equipment including Okuma lathes or comparable equipment.
• Knowledge of machining parts operations to tight tolerances.
ABILITY
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people from the manufacturing floor to department managers and customers/suppliers.
• Ability to utilize and maintain computer based systems to track, log and completely document systems, procedures and activities.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical component and part blueprints.
• Proven ability to accurately use a variety of measuring gauges (mics, calipers, comparator, bore gauges, thread gauges-I/D & O/D gauges, indicators, plug gauges, etc.).
EXPERIENCE
• 3 years experience in CNC machining for 4 or 5 axis turning equipment.

MANUFACTURING OPERATOR
SUMMARY
The major function(s) of a Manufacturing Operator associate is to continually produce a quality product maximizing all equipment run time by effectively utilizing all appropriate resources including equipment, tooling, systems, and procedures. Additionally, the Manufacturing Operator associate is required to continually practice safety in all work performed, insure efficiency and accuracy in performing all required tasks, assist Set-Up associates during equipment set-ups when requested, and act as a continual support, trainer, and resource to any new Manufacturing Operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SAFETY
• Properly use all hand tools in a safe operation.
• Ensure the safe operation of all equipment in assigned work areas.
• Follow and practice equipment lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Properly store and label all hazardous materials in the work area.
• Required to achieve forklift license/certification and responsible to continually perform safe forklift operations when assigned to operate a forklift.
QUALITY
• Continually demonstrate accurate blue print reading (primarily part print reading).
• Accurately complete all quality checks outlined on Process Control Plans.
• Thorough knowledge of measuring gages used in the assigned work area, the correct use of each, and continually demonstrate accurate reading of measurements taken.
• Ensure that parts of acceptable quality are being produced from the equipment, cleaned, and packed to meet customer expectations at all times.
• Manage process to eliminate non-conformances in material and process.
• Apply the appropriate steps to follow when discovering work-in-process out of spec products (i.e., tagging, corrective action, etc.)
SYSTEMS
• Read and understand the schedule boards, interpret daily run requirements, and participate in continually keeping data sheets and boards current.
• Work with the Set-up technician in reading the printed daily schedule to verify and follow through on requirements to insure on time order completion.
• Understand and follow all procedures including Travelers, Lot Control, MRB, Corrective Action, Routing and Routing Cards, Production Control Plans, ane Weigh Count Inventory Control.
• Participate in problem-solving involving your respective work area
• Responsible for timely and accurate labor reporting
EQUIPMENT
• Responsible for the overall equipment condition in the work area (includes cleaning, and participating in scheduled autonomous maintenance).
• Demonstrate the ability to operate all equipment in the work area
• Make minor adjustments on machines assigned to insure all parts are produced within print specification.
• Accountable for maximizing run time of all equipment to achieve on-time order completion.
• Know and demonstrate the proper use of auxiliary equipment in the work area.
• Responsible to run sample jobs in a timely manner.
• Responsible for 5s attainment as well as area and facility cleanliness
MAINTENANCE
• Required to identify maintenance needs on all equipment in the work area.
• Know and practice proper maintenance procedures by notifying either the Set-up Technician or a Maintenance Technician of the maintenance need.
• Specifically communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate associate.
• Must have knowledge and accurately complete the maintenance work order process.
• Ensure that the autonomous preventative maintenance is completed according to schedule.
• Timely and up to date compliance with operator based preventive maintenance records. (Autonomous Maintenance)
COMMUNICATION
• Work cooperatively with all Stalcop L.P. associates.
• Provide specific written information on the PCP sheets, Production reports, shift carry over documents, etc.
• Effectively communicate with all internal/external customers of the work area.
• Follow directions provided by the respective Team Leader.
LEADERSHIP
• Work under minimal supervision and continually be accountable for safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Assist in organizing the work area to insure maximum equipment capabilities are achieved.
• Continually identify and communicate areas for process improvement in the work area.
• Responsible and accountable for maintaining the highest standard of housekeeping (5S) within the work area.
• Maintain run rates that adhere to work standards, reach to and achieve 90% or better to standard compliance.

COLD FORMING HEADER SET-UP/OPERATOR
SCOPE:
This position is responsible for conducting Cold Forming Heading equipment setups and operations (including troubleshooting) to product quality steel, aluminum and copper specialty parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Decides, develops, and plans sequence of operations to produce parts in accordance with part drawings.
• Plans and performs setups on Cold Forming Heading equipment (1 Die – 2 Blow headers or similar Heading equipment and operations in accordance with drawing requirements.
• Completes work in accordance with the Stalcop Metal Forming LLC, NPD process for process/heading development and process documentation.
• Responsible for operating equipment to product quality parts according to print specifications.
EDUCATION
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Formal Vendor training and/or certification in Set-Up/Operations for Cold Form Heading Equipment.

KNOWLEDGE
• Proven knowledge of Cold Forming Heading Equipment and tooling including 1 Die – 2 Blow Headers or comparable Cold Forming Heading equipment.
• Knowledge of Setting-Up and Operating Headers to produce parts to tight tolerances.
ABILITY
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people from the manufacturing floor to department managers, engineers, and customers/suppliers.
• Ability to utilize and maintain computer based systems to track, log and completely document systems, procedures and activities.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical component blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring gauges (i.e. Micrometers, Calibers, etc.) to complete required quality part checks.
• Proven ability to complete Header equipment setups according to part prints.
• Proven mechanical skills and abilities
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE
• 2-5 years experience in Cold Forming Heading equipment setups, troubleshooting, and operationing of 1 Die – 2 Blow Headers or similar Heading equipment.
• Proven experience in reading Blue Prints; specifically tooling and part prints.
• Proven experience in using a wide variety of quality measuring instruments.
• Demonstrated positive written and verbal communication skills
